Saaj Sringar, a collective of makeup artists, hairdressers, and dressers, has been working under Gandharv Kala Sangam for the past ten years with the mission of empowering women through skill development. The initiative began with seminars aimed at creating awareness among underprivileged women, encouraging them to become self-reliant and capable of earning their livelihood. Over time, it launched structured training programs in various beautician courses, enabling women to gain employable skills and establish themselves as both employed professionals and independent entrepreneurs. Beyond training, Saaj Sringar has implemented support systems to ensure women can set up their own ventures and generate stable incomes, drawing appreciation from government and private institutions alike. Recognized widely for its impact, it has also partnered with organizations such as CRSGPP and NUJS to organize seminars and symposiums on traditional knowledge, customs, and culture, further inspiring women to participate in its initiatives.
